Sending my love to all the Kissane family. So many cherished memories of my beloved Aunty Gloria. I’m sorry I’m not in the country to join you to celebrate a wonderful life today. Love from Liz Addis (Ryan)
I first met Mrs Kissane when I was about 18 years. Today I am 68 yrs. I remember she was always gently spoken and such a Lady. Always well groomed , well spoken. Somehow she was always so well presented, a gentle smile. I knew Ron and Denise through the YCW and went to primary school with Therese. My eldest brother Brian and my cousins Paul and Ken Galvin were all members of the YCW and we all shared many good times.. I knew Ron and Therese long before they met. I well remember going to the Warana Ball, at Cloudland, with Denise the night before my Father died. Dad died on Saturday 19th September 1970. The entertainment was this new and exciting singer (who wore a dress) "Kamahl" A few years ago, how many. Maybe five, who knows as Mrs Kissane was meeting more of his friends, who, as mature adults were comfortablle calling her Gloria. Ron suggested I also call his Mother by her first name. I tried and balked. Mrs Kissane was the Lady I had met as a teenager. I tried a couple of times and gave up. The next time I met her and called her Mrs Kissane she gave me a big, beautiful smile. We both felt comfortable. Your Mother was a lovely Lady. You have been blessed with such a wonderful Mother and she was blessed with four such loving children. Grieve in peace.
I'm very sorry for the loss of your beloved mother. May her memories live on forever in your hearts.
